User Guidelines

Learn the basics of the GamePlan App to stay on top of your game with these simple and easy to follow guidelines.

App Preferences Menu

  • You can access the App Preferences Menu from the Dashboard screen by pressing the button located at the upper right hand corner of the screen. 
  • From here, you can access options like the App Settings, App Support, Tutorials and Guidelines, information about the App, Rate and Share the App. 

Setting up your working schedule

  • You can easily setup your working time by going to the App Preferences Menu, App Settings Section. 
  • From here, simply edit your work day times to adjust them at your own schedule. 
  • In the same manner, you can setup break times by editing the times on the Timeout section. 

Create a Task List

  • You can create a task list bu going to the Task Lists Menu, and then tap the “+” symbol located at the upper right hand corner of the screen. 
  • Once you have created a Task List, you can edit its attributes by pressing the    button located at the right hand side of the Task List name. 
  • You can also collapse and expand all your tasks lists so that you can focus on what you want.
  • Create as many tasks lists as you want to organize your tasks into different lists or categories.  

Create a Task

  • The beginning of any project is the first step. Take your first step by creating your first task by simply pressing the “+Add New Task” button located below the corresponding Task List. 
  • Enter to the task and edit its attributes as desired. 
  • After you have edited the attributes of your task, press the “Save” button located at the upper right hand corner of the screen. 
  • Keep adding tasks to your list as needed. 

Create a Subtask

  • Enter into the task to which you want to create a  subtask.
  • Tap on the “+ Add Subtask” button at the bottom of the Edit Task screen. 
  • Press the “Save” button located at the upper right hand corner of the screen. 
  • Add as many subtasks as needed.  

The Inbox Task List

  • You can capture tasks on the go by using the Inbox Task List. This task list can be used to create tasks that do not have a parent task list or project. 
  • You can create tasks on this Inbox the same way you create tasks for any other task list. 
  • You can later on move the tasks on the Inbox to any other task list as desired. 

Moving a Task

You can move any task from one Task List to another by following these steps:

  •  Enter into the task you desire to move. 
  • Scroll down to the field titled “Task List”, press the button and choose the task list to which you desire to move the task. 
  • Press the “Save” button located at the upper right hand corner of the screen to save your changes. 

Marking Tasks as Completed

  • Marking your completed tasks has never been so easy. Just press the circle located at the left side of the task and you are done!
  • You Task List progress bar will update as you mark your tasks as completed. 

Delete Tasks and Subtasks

  • You can delete tasks and subtasks just by simply swiping the desired task to the left of your screen . 

Close/Archive Tasks Lists

  • Enter into the task list edit screen by pressing the  button located at the right hand side of the Task List Name. 
  • On the Task List edit screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and press the “Close this Task List” option. Your task list will be removed from the opened Task Lists section to the Closed Tasks lists section. 
  • You can access your closed tasks lists section by pressing the  button located at the upper left hand corner of the Tasks Lists Menu. 

Deleting a Task List

  • To delete a task list, simply enter into the Task List Edit screen by pressing the  button located at the right hand side of the task list name. 
  • Scroll down the screen and select the “Delete this Task List” option. 
  • The task list with all its related tasks will be permanently deleted. 

The Dashboard View

  • On the Dashboard Menu, you have an overview of the tasks that you have for today, tomorrow, any past due tasks, your inbox tasks, and your top priority tasks. 
  • You can enter into any task list or task to see or edit its attributes. 
  • You can also check your tasks as completed from this menu. 
  • Make sure to check this view also on the Apple Watch!

View your Calendar Events

  • You can easily view your Calendar Events by going to the GamePlan Tab, where you can also see your scheduled tasks, all in one screen. 
  • From this menu you can also edit your Calendar selection by pressing the “Edit Calendars” option. 
  • To edit already existing calendar events press the “Edit Events” option. 
  • To create a new Calendar Events press the “Add” option.  

Create your GamePlan

  • You can create your GamePlan for the day by going to the GamePlan menu, and press the “Generate my GamePlan” button. 
  • A proposed working plan consisting of your scheduled events and your top priority tasks is automatically created by the App Assistive Engine. 
  • If you agree with the proposed plan, you can then add these activities as blocks of time into your calendar.
  • You can also create a GamePlan for any other day in the future by simply choosing the date for which you wish to create your plan, and then pressing the “Generate my GamePlan” button. 
  • You can setup your working time for your GamePlan at the Preferences Menu, App Settings section. 

The Eisenhower Matrix View

  • You can access a visual of the Eisenhower Matrix for your tasks by going to the Priority Menu. 
  • On this menu, you have a visual representation of the Eisenhower Matrix, in which you can see all your tasks as they fall into each one of the four quadrants of the Eisenhower Matrix, depending on the priority level that you define for your tasks. 

The Progress Menu

  • You can access your Progress Menu by pressing the Progress menu tab.
  • On this menu, you can see your execution metrics and progress
  • This data will be very useful for you to see your progress in terms of how are you doing in the execution of your tasks, so you can evaluate yourself and can continuously keep improving yourself.
